New in the studio · September 2026
Paint For Me moods, a paint bucket, and a studio that fits your phone
A big round of artist requests is now live in the app.
- 22 Paint For Me moods that look like their names: Neon really glows, Sunset and Ocean paint in gradients, plus new Pop Art and Comic Book.
- A colors-used palette and a paint bucket: fix any area with a color from the painting itself, and your fixes stay when you try another mood.
- A movable Paint For Me box you can shrink, so you always see the painting.
- Move, Fit and Mirror in the top bar, and opacity right next to color and size.
- A redesigned color puck with lighter and darker shades, recent colors and opacity.
- A real phone layout: a bottom toolbar, the Studio as a sheet, every tool in view, and layers you can reorder with a finger.
Now building
More serious artist presentation
The site is moving away from toy-like mascot styling and toward a deeper ocean, antique gold, painterly starfish identity.
- Mature Starby emblem.
- Smaller atmospheric video moment.
- Cleaner support and feature guide pages.
High priority
Artist workflow requests
These are the kinds of requests we especially want to hear about during beta.
- Brush families, brush feel, and custom brush depth.
- Render Assist clarity, rails, color control, shadows, and highlights.
- Layers, blend modes, files, stamps, templates, and proof replay.
Bug report focus
Small broken things matter
If a button does not respond, a menu hides off-screen, a browser behaves differently, or a tool feels confusing, report it. Those issues shape the beta polish list.
